Hampden Way Nursery School, Hampden Way, Southgate, N14 5DJ. 1-3.30pm

Risky Play, an opportunity to give children exciting and challenging opportunities that boost levels of involvement, self-esteem and well-being. This session will explore the six elements of Risky Play with opportunities to see children playing in a risk-taking nursery environment. Our Forest School Leaders will share ways of making fires and setting up successful woodwork areas with young children.

This afternoon training opportunity will provide Early Years’ practitioners with:

• An opportunity to observe risky play in practice

• Exposure to outdoor challenges and risk-taking activities

• An opportunity to observe staff making fires with young children

• Ideas for setting up woodwork in the classroom
